“I’m curious by nature: What’s that? Who’s this? What happens when XYZ? Where’s that go?

I like to explore stuff. Like proper deep dive. Especially in work. I like to see how far you can push something.

Like a feeling for example. Remember when you were a kid and you’d visit… Let’s say your nan’s house. Remember how it felt? Or the smell? My Nan’s house always smelt like roast chicken. More so, hairspray if we were off out somewhere. It feels safe to me, comforting, warm, welcoming.

It’s that. That feeling. Something we can all relate to. It’s so many different things, to so many different people, but that, that’s what I’m always trying to get into my images. Something that connects us on, like, the ultimate, human level.

Photographing people is fuckin wild, because they’ll say so much, just by the way they interact with their surroundings. It’s looking for those subtle gestures that really gets me. Pair that with a story, it’s fuckin’ sick!

So, say I’m working with an artist, I want you (the viewer) to feel inspired, unstoppable, legendary. Even then, say you’re the said artist, I want you to feel empowered, like you really recognise and appreciate yourself in the images. Cause you never know. You could be that pivotal moment for someone looking for inspiration… Or ‘a siiiign maaaan’ haha.

Y’know what I mean? Or am I talking absolute shit again?!

Essentially, I just wanna be a force for good, I guess?! Share some stories, inspire people, just make people feel fuckin’ good about ‘em selves ya know?!”
