It’s been a while since I’ve had time (made an effort) to sit down and share something with you here.
So, whilst I wait for some images to export and upload I’m gonna wang some images on here for you to goose at.
I shot with Lauren and her team at Brass Beetle again in October.
Whilst the main bulk of the collection was colour images and Gifs, I decided to make some 4x5 black and white images of the boys in the kitchen.
I’ve not worked in black and white for a long time. I really miss it. I’ve also grown a soft spot for this aspect ratio.
For these I tried super hard not to resort to my usual heavy handedness when it came to the shadow/contrast sliders.
Instead, I’ve tried to keep them super flat.
Though I will admit, the heavy handedness came back in force when it came to the grain slider.
In my head, I wanted these images to find their place on a wall in some imaginary pizzeria I thought up.
Hanging proudly in the dining area in burgundy frames that are thick with greasy dust.
Till next time
